If
all this good news isn’t enough, when the healthy saturated fat in
coconut oil is added to the diet, it strongly combats the aging
process, helping reverse the aging effects that the unsaturated oils
have on the skin and hair.
Because
of its antioxidant properties, coconut oil one of the best things you
can apply directly on your skin and hair. It not only gives temporary
relief to skin problems like rashes, but it aids in healing and
restoring skin to a younger appearance. It has also been known to help
with people who suffer from yeast infections in the skin, and there is
solid research that shows the MCTs in coconut oil do overcome yeast
infections. Coconut oil also makes an excellent massage oil.
Dr. Joseph Mercola, Author of the Total Health Program, says coconut oil :

destructive free-radical formation and provides protection against
them. It can help to keep the skin from developing liver spots, and

lotions. It can help bring back a youthful appearance. The coconut oil
will aid in removing the outer layer of dead skin cells, making the
skin smoother. The skin will become more evenly textured with a healthy
"shine". And the coconut oil will penetrate into the deeper layers of
the skin and strengthen the underlying tissues.”
According to Bruce Fife, N.D, "Coconut oil is the healthiest oil on
earth." In his book, The Healing Miracles of Coconut Oil, he
states the following about coconut oil:
